Discover the best wedding venues in Colorado!
Colorado, with its breathtaking natural beauty, offers a wide range of wedding venues to make your special day unforgettable. From majestic mountains to rustic elegance and city-chic vibes, the Centennial State has it all. As a Colorado wedding photographer, I’m excited to share with you my top picks for the best wedding venues in Colorado – let’s dive in!
1. Willowbrook Amphitheatre
Nestled in the heart of Morrison, the Willowbrook Amphitheatre is a hidden gem that promises a wedding experience like no other. This outdoor amphitheater is surrounded by lush fields and towering rock formations, creating a truly enchanting setting for your big day. Imagine exchanging vows under the open sky, with the natural beauty of Colorado as your backdrop – it’s a photographer’s dream come true!
2. Beano’s Cabin
Beano’s Cabin is a venue located in Beaver Creek that exudes rustic elegance and charm. Though I’ve only had the pleasure of photographing a rehearsal dinner here, I dream of photographing a full wedding one day! The cabin’s warm and cozy atmosphere, surrounded by Aspen trees and the breathtaking Colorado Rockies, provides an intimate and romantic ambiance that is perfect for a celebration of love. Take a look for yourself from Alex and Brandon’s rehearsal dinner below, associate shot for Nate Shepard.
3. Sonnenalp in Vail
If you’re looking for an alpine paradise to celebrate your love, look no further than Sonnenalp in Vail. While I’ve only second-shot at this stunning location (working alongside the talented Nate Shepard), it left a lasting impression on me. This upscale resort offers the perfect blend of luxury and natural beauty. The lush landscapes, scenic mountain views, and European-inspired architecture create a dreamy backdrop for your wedding. It’s the kind of place that takes your breath away, both as a photographer and as a couple saying their vows.
It’s quite common for couples to choose two locations for their weddings here, given its proximity to other venues. They often have their ceremony elsewhere and then bring the party to Sonnenalp for the reception. Some couples opt to have their ceremony on the lawn or within the glass pavilion, and also party at the Sonnenalp, just like the wedding captured below!
4. Red Rocks Trading Post and Skylight Denver
Combining the majesty of the Colorado Rockies with the vibrancy of the city, the Red Rocks Trading Post and Skylight Denver offer a unique combination that’s hard to beat. Although these two venues are distinct, they pair together exceptionally well if you desire a mountainous backdrop with a city vibe. As someone who has photographed here, I appreciated the convenience of having the best of both worlds in one location!
Red Rocks Trading Post offers the iconic red rock formations and an amphitheater known for its incredible acoustics. It’s an ideal spot for an outdoor ceremony surrounded by the majesty of nature. Skylight Denver, on the other hand, provides an urban feel with its chic rooftop and city views, perfect for a reception or an after-party.
These venues offer unique contrasts that can be the perfect choice for couples who want a blend of nature and city life – you can view more of Ginger + Riley’s wedding here!
I’ve been privileged to witness these extraordinary venues in action, and I can say without a doubt that each one offers something truly magical for couples embarking on their journey of love. Whether you dream of a mountainous backdrop, a rustic cabin, an alpine escape, or a combination of natural beauty and city vibes, I’ve got you covered!
