After five incredible years as a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless love stories, but there’s one that stands out as a true photographer’s dream – Jake and Maddie’s. From the wildflowers that graced every corner to the genuine connections between the couple and their guests, this celebration was a testament to love, friendship, and the beauty of Colorado.

Jake and Maddie’s love story is deeply rooted in the valleys of Colorado – they live in the same area where they got married, which added a beautiful layer of significance to their day. The couple got to share the place that brought them to the mountains in the first place with their families who flew in from Michigan. I loved how relaxed their day was and how they really made it a point to hang out with their people during cocktail hour! We even did all the portraits before the ceremony, with the exception of family portraits, which allowed them to be fully present with their loved ones.

What set Jake and Maddie’s wedding apart was Maddie’s love for flowers. They chose in-season wildflowers, a quintessential choice for Colorado weddings, and what made it even more special was that most of the flowers came from a local florist who grew them herself. Wildflowers are not just beautiful; they’re a symbol of love in its purest form, much like Jake and Maddie’s connection.
