Welcome to Gracie and Taylor’s beautiful engagement and wedding!
I had the privilege of capturing Gracie and Taylor’s love story, from their engagement session in Colorado to their wedding day in Georgia. Being a part of this couple’s milestones was an absolute joy, and I’m always grateful to witness and photograph these special moments. So, let’s dive into Gracie and Taylor’s day!
Gracie had a vision for their engagement session that encapsulated the essence of Colorado fall – picturesque mountains, vibrant aspen trees, and crisp mountain air. I mean.. who could blame her! We found the perfect spot just outside of Buena Vista, Colorado during the first weekend of October. The leaves were at their prime and it was perfect! The weather, true to Colorado’s unpredictable nature, took a dramatic turn towards the end, making for some moody pictures. The wind got sooo bad that we had to take a break in the car to warm up. Yet, Gracie and Taylor embraced the adventure and played around in the windy rain, creating truly memorable moments during this engagement session!
After the engagement photoshoot, Gracie reached out with an invitation to document their wedding day in Georgia, her home state. And the answer was obviously YES!
The wedding day was a perfect blend of relaxation and fun. Gracie and Taylor were so giddy around each other; it was so cute to watch! Their first look was so sweet, with Gracie eager to show off the bow on the back of her dress (which, of course, Taylor was a huge fan of!). However, my favorite part of the day was witnessing their interactions with their friends and family, particularly Gracie’s heartwarming embrace with her grandparents after the ceremony. All the flower girls were having so much fun dancing the night away, and everyone was literally non-stop the entire night!
Gracie and Taylor wanted to savor and enjoy every moment with their loved ones, which led us to capture most of the photographs before the ceremony. To all my couples and anyone planning a wedding… Please, please, please answer to yourself and your partner on your wedding day. If you want to go to cocktail hour instead of taking more couples portraits, do it. If you want to take all of your photos before your ceremony so that you can enjoy your time with your people, do it. It’s YOUR day to celebrate with YOUR people, not follow a timeline. My biggest encouragement to my clients is to let life happen on their wedding day. Keep your timeline loose, live in the moment, and see where the day takes you. I’ll be there to preserve and document those moments for you!
Gracie and Taylor, thank you for allowing me to be part of your incredible journey, from the golden aspen trees of Colorado to the heartwarming embrace of Georgia! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness!
