Discover the most scenic Colorado outdoor wedding venues!

Colorado, with its breathtaking landscapes and majestic mountains, offers a plethora of stunning outdoor wedding venues that will elevate your special day in ways you could not have thought of! As a Denver-based wedding photographer of 5 years, I’ve had the privilege of capturing several weddings at these remarkable locations. And today, I’m thrilled to share with you 5 of my favorite gems (and bucket list destinations) – let’s dive in!

1. Beano’s Cabin

If I were getting married tomorrow, this would be on my top 3 venue list! Nestled in the heart of Beaver Creek Resort, Beano’s Cabin is the perfect cozy spot to have your closest people celebrate your love all while being surrounded by the beauty of the Rockies. I had the honor to photograph a rehearsal dinner here, and it was a DREAM – everything about it was picture-perfect. The cabin and the mountain feel like they’re hugging you! I don’t think I need to say anything else!

2. Camp St. Malo

Camp St. Malo offers a majestic backdrop for couples seeking a sacred ceremony. It is a venue predominantly for those who practice Catholicism, so be sure to keep this in mind! And if you’re Catholic, you’re in luck because this place resembles a fairytale castle! You can see it from miles away, and I’m so grateful to be able to document Jon and Natalie’s ceremony here on a snowy March day – it felt like a Hallmark movie and was everything the bride wanted!

3. Black Canyon Inn, Estes Park

Just a short distance away from Camp St. Malo is Black Canyon Inn – a great location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The view of Estes Park will swallow you up the second you look out of the venue from the main balcony. It’s impossible to take a bad picture here, and that says so much!

4. The Manor House

For those desiring a venue closer to Denver, look no further than The Manor House. With panoramic views of the foothills and the city skyline, this charming estate is the perfect blend of elegance and convenience for your special day. I have a wedding here in October, and I’m so excited to show you the images! Until then, trust me when I tell you that they have everything you need (I’ve second shot here a handful of times).

5. North Star Gatherings

Less than an hour from Denver (without traffic), North Star Gathering is a beautiful venue that provides a vast view of the Rockies. They have an indoor/outdoor option for your ceremony and reception. One of my favorite things about this venue is the massive balcony that looks out to the mountains. I love that you can host the ceremony on the balcony and then have the reception inside. You’d also have an option for an indoor venue as a backup! Especially during Colorado summers since random thunderstorms can be hard to avoid.

6. Burning Sky Farm & Telluride *bonus bucket list destinations!*

While I have yet to photograph weddings at Burning Sky Farm and in Telluride, these destinations hold a special place in my heart. Burning Sky Farm, with its scenic mountain views and Tuscan-inspired architecture, is a dreamy backdrop for a summer celebration. It also has an indoor/outdoor option in case a random summer thunderstorm rolls through! I cannot stress how important having a backup option is in the state of Colorado!

As for Telluride, with its countless enchanting venues such as Telluride Ski Resort, Gorrono Ranch, and San Sophia Overlook, there’s endless possibilities for an unforgettable wedding experience. It would be a dream come true to photograph anywhere in Telluride!
